Theresa Salazar carved out her path within the interior design space back in the early 1980s. Since then, she’s won numerous awards, been interviewed about her work, had projects published in magazines, and so much more.
It all started during her tenure as a student at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. While attending, she worked with the campus architect and facilities planners to assist with the construction of the university. Across her thousands of projects, she worked with custom cabinetry manufacturers from Italy, Germany, the United States, and Canada.
Most importantly: she’s left her mark on the lives of thousands of families through her masterful design work. With over four decades of experience in the industry, your home could be in no better hands.

She is an esteemed Interior Designer whose excellence in design is only matched by the love, care, and attention to detail that she provides each and every client’s project. Theresa’s background in creating custom kitchens and baths spans over 40 years, including numerous designs and awards.

In fact, our neighbor a block over re-did their kitchen with her. As with any major remodel we were worried about quality, look and feel of new kitchen cabinets. We have seen other people’s paint start to chip and hardware start to fail.
Our family of 4, with kids ages 9 and 7, put the cabinets to the ultimate test during the 2020 stay at home/work from home pandemic orders. Success! The cabinets even continue to hold up to our sons soccer team and soccer families regular post game visits.
While the cabinets are fantastic, the service by Theresa is even better. She knows everyone and anyone to get the job done. Countertops, appliances, installation, design. she has a guy or gal for that. We liked everything so much we just had her design and install a new entertainment center.Thanks
Theresa helped me create a beautiful, very functional kitchen on a budget. She gathered my wish list and incorporated every one of them into her design. She designed a few different layout options that allowed me to choose what was best for functionality needs and my budget. She made several design suggestions I would have never thought of—but am so glad she did! She really has an eye for detail.
Theresa did an incredible job of coordinating contractors and keeping them on schedule. She met with them collectively to ensure they communicated and worked together well and then was in constant communication with them to ensure they met their target dates and keep the entire project right on schedule.
Remodel projects often become stressful due to delays, surprise added costs, or issues with contractors. Theresa made the entire experience fun!
